Dr. Jennifer Hiland started with our practice as a veterinary assistant in 1996. She worked through high school and on breaks during college, rotating between our three hospitals. After finishing her undergraduate work at the University of Georgia, she attended veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Hiland started as a veterinarian here in June of 2007. She has since worked between Allatoona and Trickum Ridge Animal Hospitals, and now excited to be a part of Waleska Animal Hospital. In addition to general surgery and medicine, she has a special interest in ultrasound. Dr. Hiland also writes a monthly article for the Cherokee Humane Society newsletter. She has two dogs: Sashimi (Boston Terrier Mix) and Bear (Great Pyrenees). She also has three cats, Chops, Marmalade, and Uno, and a horse named Buckshot. In her free time Dr. Hiland enjoys horseback riding and traveling with her husband, Matt.
